This Halloween pizza has had a frightfully good makeover, topped with cheesy ghosts and bats cut out using cookie cutters. It’s scary how good pizza can look!
A little creativity, a few cookie cutters and your favourite toppings are all you need to give pizza a Halloween twist.
Who’s ready for a slice of the spooky stuff?

Method
Â
-
Prepare the spooky shapes. Using ghost and bat-shaped cookie cutters, cut shapes out of slices of cheese. Set aside until ready to decorate. Add peppercorns for eyes.
-
Add the tomato base. Spread a thin, even layer of tomato pizza sauce over your prepared pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edge.
-
Cook the pizza. Place the pizza into your preheated DeliVita pizza oven and cook until the dough is golden, the crust has puffed up and the base is cooked through. Rotate as needed for an even cook.
-
Add the ghosts and bats. Carefully remove the pizza from the oven and arrange your cheese shapes across the top of the cooked pizza.
-
Melt the cheese. Return the pizza to the oven for approximately 30 seconds, just long enough for the cheese decorations to soften and melt slightly while keeping their spooky shapes.
-
Serve and enjoy! Remove from the oven, allow the cheese to settle for a moment, then slice and serve your frightfully delicious Halloween pizza.

Top tip
For the best results, use cheese that holds its shape when cut. Adding the decorations after the main cook and returning the pizza to the oven for just 30 seconds helps keep your ghosts and bats looking spooky rather than melting into cheesy puddles!
