Choose fuel to suit your oven
Each Delivita oven has its own fuel options. Match the fuel and connection to your model before you fire it up.
Wood for the Origin and Flow
For traditional flame and wood-fired flavour, choose kiln-dried hardwood. The Delivita wood bundle includes ash logs cut for smaller wood-fired pizza ovens, kindling and firelighters. A curing pack also helps prepare a new wood-fired oven.
Portable gas for the Diavolo
When the Diavolo is heading to the campsite, beach or festival, choose a lightweight gas setup. Diavolo Power Fuel canisters contain a butane, propane and iso-butane blend and work with the correct adapter. The camping regulator and hose can also connect the Diavolo to compatible 227g clip-on or 440g self-sealing butane cartridges.
Patio gas for cooking at home
For a regular garden setup, use standard propane patio gas with the correct model-specific regulator and hose. Separate connection kits are available for the Diavolo and Flow, so check the product name and your oven before ordering.
Why the right pizza oven fuel matters
Fuel choice changes how you cook. Wood gives you live flame, glowing embers and the ritual of tending the fire. Gas offers quick heat and simple control, whether you are cooking at home or taking the Diavolo out for the day. The right adapter and regulator also help the fuel work as intended with your oven.
Complete your outdoor cooking setup
Once the fuel is sorted, add pizza oven accessories such as a peel and infrared thermometer.
You can also compare gas pizza ovens and dual-fuel pizza ovens, or keep ready-made pizza dough in the freezer for an easy pizza night.
FAQs about pizza oven fuel
What fuel can I use in a Delivita pizza oven?
Does Diavolo Power Fuel need an adapter?
Yes. The adapter is sold separately, although it is included with every new Diavolo oven. Diavolo Power Fuel is only compatible with Diavolo and not with duel fuel models.
What wood should I burn in a pizza oven?
Choose untreated, kiln-dried hardwood cut to fit your oven. Avoid damp logs, painted or treated timber, plywood and MDF. Store your wood somewhere dry and well-ventilated, raised off the ground if kept outside.
