Method
Make the dough
We suggest fr the quickest results purchase a frozen Delivita Dough ball set and take your dough out 24hr before you want to make you pizza, allowing it to come to room temp.
If you'd like to make your own follow the below:
- Mix the flour and water until combined and leave for 20 minutes.
- Add the yeast and salt, then knead until smooth and elastic.
- Cover and leave at room temperature for 1 hour.
- Refrigerate for 24–48 hours for improved flavour.
- Remove from the fridge 2–3 hours before baking and allow to come to room temperature.
Prepare the pizza
- Heat your pizza oven to approximately 430–480°C, with a stone temperature around 400–450°C.
- Stretch the dough into a 12-inch round, leaving a puffy rim.
- Spread the sauces evenly over the base.
- Add Parmesan
- Then, Add the mozzarella.
- Finally add a thin layer of grate Cheddar
Create the St George's Cross
- Arrange the pepperoni in a thick vertical line down the centre of the pizza.
- Add a matching horizontal line across the middle to form the St George's Cross.
Bake
- Launch into the oven and bake for 60–90 seconds, turning every 20–30 seconds for an even cook.
- Once the crust is leopard-spotted and the cheese is bubbling, remove from the oven.
- Finish with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and fresh basil if desired.
The intense heat of a proper pizza oven creates a light, airy crust with a soft centre, while the pepperoni crisps just enough to make the St George's Cross stand out beautifully against the mozzarella.
