Christmas isn’t always a time of joy; in fact, it can be an incredibly difficult time for many, which is why we’re committed to keeping our promise to support those who are less fortunate in the heart of our community. So we were delighted to partner with Focus4Hope, an incredible charity supporting the homeless, elderly, vulnerable and isolated across West Yorkshire.
This week, we’ve been busy creating essential care packages and gifts for those most vulnerable and will be spending some time in #leeds on Friday 17th December supporting #focus4hope by handing out our hampers, firing up our ovens, and sharing our wood-fired pizza.
Joe Formisano, founder and MD at DeliVita, says:
“This time of year can bring with it challenges for many; being able to give back and bring comfort to those in need echoes our belief that even the smallest acts of kindness can have a huge impact on individual lives.
“It’s been another tough year for many people and the DeliVita team felt passionately that we wanted to do the right thing and help in some way. We’d normally be sending gifts and cards to all our suppliers and retailers but this year we decided that our good intentions could be put to much better use. So, together with providing food and drinks, we’re providing hampers full of items that are really needed such as hygiene products, blankets, food, and warm winter items.
“We’re massively impressed with the Focus4Help team and so proud to be able to play a small part in the amazing work they deliver each and every day.”
Focus4Hope has various initiatives running this Christmas which it’s looking for support with including its Christmas Gift appeal in association with Calderdale Lighthouse. It’s also looking to recruit volunteers to help the charity deliver food parcels to frontline NHS workers, local elderly, vulnerable, isolated and the homeless.
