To celebrate National Pizza Day (9th February), we joined forces with Pennine Wealth Management and donated a pizza-making workshop to Huddersfield’s Greenacres Care Home.
Our own charming Pizzaiolo master chef Marco Biasetti led residents through the moves hand stretching bases and later topping off in the virtual cookery class, which brought big smiles and many giggles from participants.
Pennine Wealth Management sponsored the ingredients, our award-winning vegan organic ‘Dough-To-Go’ dough balls, alongside traditional Mutti pizza sauce and beautiful ‘Fior di latte’ mozzarella. Staff and residents enjoyed a great day topped off with tasty pizzas and they are planning to run further hands-on sessions again soon.
Faye Formisano, Principal at Pennine Wealth Management added “We wanted to do something fun for our local care home as elderly people have been hit so hard by the Covid-19 pandemic. Our family loves making fresh pizza; it brings people together, creates memories and you end up with something delicious to eat! We hope it brought some joy to their day.”
