“Whether you are cooking your T-Bone for sharing or cooking it for yourself, using a skillet and your DeliVita oven will give you the perfect steak.”
Ingredients
- 2 x T-bone Steaks (2’’ thick)
- Olive oil (for oiling the steaks)
- Maldon sea salt and cracked black pepper
- 1 lemon
- A handful of rocket
- Parmesan cheese (shaved)
- A handful of Asparagus
Instructions
Remove your steaks from the fridge around 45 minutes before cooking.
Have the oven at around 350C with flames still burning at the back of the oven and place a cast iron skillet into the oven (don’t forget your gloves).
Pat dry and score criss cross’s into both sides of the steak.
Massage olive oil onto your steaks, then heavily season with salt and pepper.
Remove the skillet from oven, place the steaks onto the skillet and place it towards the back of the oven close to the flames.
Cook for around 6 minutes (for medium/rare) on both sides (you can flip your steak after 3 minutes and then back over for another 3 minutes if you want those restaurant char lines)
Once cooked to perfection take the steaks out of the pan and let them REST!!! For at least 5-10 minutes. You can cover the steaks with foil until ready.
Place the Asparagus into you oven & Roast for 2 mins.
When you’re ready to serve plate your steak up and cut it into nice thin angled slices, top with rocket leaves then lemon juice and finally lay on the shaved Parmesan.
Serve with a glass of red wine and enjoy!
